Big Rapids, Mich. — Back-to-back third period power play goals from junior forward Gerald Mayhew propelled the Ferris State men’s ice hockey team to a Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) first round playoff series sweep of the Northern Michigan Wildcats on Saturday (March 12), as the Bulldogs went on to win 5-2 and advance to Van Andel Arena for the WCHA Final Five.
