Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has swept the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Player and Rookie of the Month awards for the final month of the 2015-16 men's ice hockey campaign as both junior forward Gerald Mayhew (Wyandotte) and freshman goaltender Darren Smith (Barrie, Ontario) were recognized by the league office on Thursday.
